Homemaking Mom Tip: Don’t Forget Cash Back Rebate Programs When Grocery Shopping

Each week, in addition to clipping manufacturer’s coupons while preparing for a grocery shopping trip, I also activate various “cash back” rebate offers on the items that I plan to purchase. This is such an EASY way to save even more on groceries!

My Three Favorite Cash Back Programs:

SavingStar – I have received $345.08 cash back since joining this free program a few years ago. Basically, just sign up for SavingStar, enter your store loyalty card number, activate your available offers prior to shopping and that is it. The cash back for the qualifying items will automatically be added to your account within 1-2 weeks of shopping. (Pictured above is the email I received this morning from SavingStar from my Harris Teeter shopping trip on 9/27. Just about every week I earn cash back from SavingStar and it really adds up).

— IbottaI have earned $291.05 since joining this free program less than two years ago. I love Ibotta, as it offers cash back on both coupon and non-coupon items. Currently cash back offers are available any brand bread, any brand orange juice or apple juice, eggs, cheese, snacks, household products and much more!

Checkout 51 – I joined this cash back app last year and so far, have accumulated $58.35 cash back.

I love all three of these programs, as they require very little time and energy. Once I make my grocery list for my shopping trip each week, I quickly activate the cash back offers on items that I had planned to purchase anyway.

Or, if you find that you are in a pinch and don’t have time to clip coupons, this is an EASY way to at least receive cash back on your grocery shopping. Win, win!

(Note – If you are not currently participating in these cash back programs and you could use some extra Christmas shopping money this year, it is not too late to get started).
