$60 Weekly Grocery Challenge – Spent $57.49 This Week At Harris Teeter and Aldi

What is the $60 Weekly Grocery Challenge?

Each week my goal is to spend approximately $60 for food, drinks, groceries, toiletries, diapers and medicine for my family of five. Then, I report on this blog the items that I bought, the best sales and coupon match-ups that I found and hopefully by doing so, help you stretch your family’s grocery budget, as well!

How Did I Do This Week?

Harris Teeter – Spent $36.69, Saved $73.33
Aldi – Spent $20.80

Total for the Week – Spent $57.49

Aldi Shopping Trip

Spent $20.80

My favorite deal at Aldi this week is the containers of strawberries for $.99!

Spent $36.69, Saved $73.33

The deals for most everything I purchased can be found on this week’s deal list, with a couple of exceptions: Coke Zero 12 pack (paid $1.89 after BOGO sale price and $.75 coupon that doubled – from tearpad at CVS recently) and the Nutri-grain Fruit Crunch bars (paid $1.59 per box using coupon from a Kellogg’s email).

Also, I found inexpensive pork chops and applied the $1.00 off coupon found here to purchase each package for only $1.40 and $1.49.

I was bummed about the Mott’s deal. I had either already printed the coupon or it was out of prints by the time I got around to it. :(

Thank you for dropping by and linking up your savings with me. You did a great job! :)
