Hot Cereal Deal at Harris Teeter – I Bought Five Boxes for $1.65 TOTAL ($.33/Box)

This week’s Harris Teeter Box Tops Promotion includes an awesome deal on various General Mills cereals (select Cheerios, Fiber One, Golden Grahams, Total and Frosted Toach Crunch). Basically, when you purchase five of these cereals, they will ring up $1.98 per box (see your HT weekly email for promotion details and specific cereal types/sized included in this promotion).

Then, there are various coupons available to apply to each box (I used a $.75 off coupon which doubled to $1.50 off on each box that I purchased.  Then, I also activated my E-VIC coupon for $.75 off one Fiber One cereal).

For all FIVE BOXES COMBINED, I only paid $1.65 (or an average of $.33 per box).

Here are some coupon matchups you can use to also get this deal:

Remember you can print two of each printable coupon shown below!

Betty Crocker Fruit Snack Deal

There is a similar Box Top promotion going on with the Betty Crocker fruit snacks.  If you purchase four, they will ring up at $1.48 each.  Then apply two of the following coupons to make them only $.98 per box:

Betty Crocker Fruit Snacks

Another tip – When you purchase eight participating Box Tops for Education products, you will earn 50 Bonus Box Tops for your child’s school.  It is a win-win!

Thank you to Homemaking Mom reader, Brian, for a heads up about these deals!

  1. Also don’t forget when you buy 8 participating products you get 50 bonus Box Tops.

    • Good point, Kristen. I am adding that now. I was happy to get the Bonus Box Tops today for my son’s school. They have their winter Box Tops drive coming up soon and the 50 bonus Box Tops will definitely help.

  2. Which coupon did you use for the Frosted Toast Crunch?

    • Hi Stacey! I used two Frosted Toast Crunch coupons for $.75 off that were available in early January when the new coupons reset. Unfortunately, that coupon is not available at the moment.

Ximena, you are too funny! You made my day 🙂 I am so glad that my shopping tips help you each week.

  3. I love you!!!!!! well, I think my husband loves you more hahaha we really enjoy going shopping every week, specially now that he lost his job, thank you so much

  4. Heads up if you go to the general mills website they usually have $.10 higher coupons which doubles to $.20 I mean it isn’t much but when you have more than a few it adds up to more savings.

  5. Thanks Roxanna!

I also had two Evic coupons 1.00 off for two cheerios and a .75 cent on fiber one. So on top of the coupons I had I only spent .65 cents total on my cereal!!!!

I also had a .60 cent coupon (pillsbury.com) for the betty crockers fruit snacks so I ended up only spending .38 cents per box 🙂

  6. I am jumping for joy over this Roxanna, thank you!! We go through so much cereal, this is great! I wanted to share that there is a $0.50 coupon available on http://www.quericavida.com for the yellow box cheerios in case anyone is interested. This makes them only $0.98 a box, and since it’s the 14 oz size that is included in this promo, that is a FANTASTIC price for these cheerios! Anyway, this cereal is a HUGE staple in our home so I’m super excited. (Note, the website is in Spanish, and you do have tor register before you can access the coupons, but I was able to stumble through it so if anyone has any questions, I’d be happy to help if I can. After you register, I have found the easiest way to access the coupons is to start on the main page, and then look under the Recetas (or recipes) for the rolling banner of brands and select Cheerios, then you’ll come to another page where you’ll see a picture of cheerios in a basket next a $$ sign, click on the picture and it will take you to the coupons.) Long explanation, but I hope it helps someone! 🙂

  7. Also, I was wondering if you could do this deal multiple times and it looks like you can..I read through the promo details on my weekly email and states $1.98 per 5 boxes of select cereal PER transaction. So I’m taking that to mean that I can do this multiple times Does anyone know if I can do the same transaction 3 different times (I have 3 computers), by just checking out 3 times ? I am thinking of buying 2 yellow box cheerios, 2 fiber ones, 1 dulce leche cheerios per transaction, so I’m wondering if that is within the guidelines of the coupon policy — I know it’s only 2 like internet coupons and 3 like paper coupons, but is the rule per transaction or per day? Thank you!! If I have to go several days that’s okay 🙂

  8. It is per transaction

Also you can use 2 LIKE internet coupons and 3 LIKE paper coupons. That means you can use 5 internet coupons if they are for 3 different cereals and you don’t have more then 2 of each cereal.

    Does that make sense?

  9. Yes, that makes perfect sense, thank you Brian! I appreciate it!!

  10. I have a quick question (it might be something everyone else knows)…When you say that you can use 2 LIKE internet coupons, what exactly does “like” mean? For example: could you use 1 multigrain cheerio coupon, 1 yellow box cheerio coupon, and 1 peanut butter cheerio coupon (all internet) at the same time? Or are they like coupons because they are all Cheerios? Thanks for the help!

    • Hi Coupon Girl! It is fine for you to use various Cheerios coupons, since the ones you mentioned are all different coupons for different flavors. The term “like coupons” would refer to using the exact same coupon for a particular type of cereal. In your example above, you could use two multigrains cheerio coupons, two yellow box cheerios, etc. and still be following the HT coupon policy.
